If you can spend time alone than you might have what it takes to survive. Yes I’m alone at the bar. I know so sad right? But is it really? I know how to be alone because I’ve had my practice. I have good friends, family, and acquaintances. So why do we take our time to be alone? Well sometimes, it’s what we have. It’s our moment, our point in time where we see our world for what the moment truly is.
There is nothing wrong with being alone because of independence. You can’t count on people 24/7, so getting used to counting on yourself helps a lot in the long run. It helps you grow and discover yourself. It’s helps you to become free from the invisible boundaries that never really existed in the first place.
One thing I love doing is people watching. I like watching people work and just do their thing. Yes does it help if it’s a cute bar tender or server, well sure! I mean I’m a single young man. Of course I’m going to look. What sort of man would I be if I didn’t? The thing is that there is more to it. Sometimes you can see people in their natural environment and they appear to be so beautiful just because it’s natural. They aren’t trying, they are just being. They are just living life and doing the best they can like any of us. It’s so pure and so honest. It’s true! I think that’s what draws my attention most. It feels good just seeing that.
The best part is that this moment is mine. This joy, this lighting, this feeling, is all mine. It will never happen again and I can choose to cherish it. I think that is the purpose of life. It’s finding joy and peace in just the moment and existing. Because I quit my job and am not in school right now I can feel that. I don’t have to worry about tomorrow. I can just focus on right now, and that’s all I want to focus on.
