Everyone knows there is nothing like getting together around a warm fire! Spring and summer are perfect for getting together with friends and family, having some drinks, and making up for lost time! It’s cheap, its fun, and most of all its memorable! Right now me and my parents, along with my sister and her best friend are sitting around a fire and just enjoying making it through winter.
Life nowadays moves pretty quickly and any and every chance you can get to slow it down a bit, take it! You never know when an illness can strike, a relationship can fail, or a friendship can be broken. So many things happen that we complain about that are so small compared to what we have and what we are blessed with. A lot of us can put a ton of pressure upon ourselves and forget living just for living sake! Pushing yourself and striving is great but living in the moment is sometimes even better!
Spring and summer are so exciting! There is camping, concerts, house parties, festivals, and just some good old fashioned barbecues! There is washing your favorite car in your driveway, cutting fresh green grass, and catching sun all day! Everything comes to life. You can be busier than hell or lazy and lounging around. If you are in Ohio like me, you know the days are getting longer, the grass is finally coming back to life, and that strange round thing in the sky that makes you warm and happy is actually starting to come out and stay out.
The nice thing about better weather and more daylight is the simple adventures. Like I said it can be fun, but also cheap. Camping doesn’t have to break the bank, going fishing could be right in your friends back yard, and burgers and hotdogs are a quick fix to feed your appetite after a long day. If you and your loved one love being outside, now is your chance to spend some quality time on a little romantic get away. It really doesn’t matter where you go, its taking the time to focus on each other and make some lasting memories. Before you know it you will be older and although wiser, maybe not able to do some of the things you really wish you would have. Take a leap of faith and break up the monotony. I doubt you will regret it. Who knows, it just might remind you of why you fell in love in the first place!
No matter what, around this time of year you just feel happy and more appreciative of life and the simple things. Whenever you get a chance to smile and have some fun take it! This life will be over before you know it. Live it to the fullest and make the best of memories. Cheers to spring and summer!
